Finland Aikikai is a nationwide Aikido umbrella organisation whose activities are defined within its rules. The federation is a member of many national and international sports organisations. The memberships support the development of Aikido in Finland.

The highest decision making organ within Finland Aikikai is the federal assembly, which meets twice a year. The executive committee leads the practical operations and the office and the executive director play a central role in carrying out its decisions. The federation’s executive director handles the day-to-day operations.

The federation’s technical- and educational committees support the activities their names refer to. The purpose of the dan-assembly is to select these organs.
